Backward Compatible

Original Xbox fans rejoice, the Xbox One’s catalogue of backward compatible games is growing a lot in the next couple of weeks, and the list contains some noteworthy classics.

Hits such as The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, Conker: Live and Reloaded, Jade Empire, and SSX 3 will make their way to Xbox One on April 17, while others such as Star Wars Battlefront 1 and 2, Star Wars Knights of the Olds Republic 2: The Sith Lords, Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction, and Destroy All Humans! will arrive on April 26.

The full list can be viewed here.

Suspicions that a couple of original Xbox games would be coming soon started to arise earlier today when a Reddit user pointed out Morrowind’s existence on the Xbox Marketplace. That being said, such a massive drop of some of the console’s biggest successes was not expected.

Many have been skeptical of the amount of support the backward compatibility catalogue would receive, but Microsoft has been shooting down naysayers every step of the way.
