The Warhammer licence is continuing to expand its packed 2018 slate of announcement with another video game, entitled Warhammer: Chaosbane.
Development responsibilities for this newest project will fall to Eko Software, a French studio with considerable experience in the hack-and-slash genre, with its most notable titles being the How To Survive series.
This project squarely targets Warhammer fans, being set in the Old World on a bloody continent that has been raised and devastated by wars against Chaos. Players can choose to embody a human, high elf, wood elf, or a dwarf as they explore several well-known series locations such as Praag or Nuln.
Gameplay-wise, Chaosbane is being advertised as an action-RPG, but, given Eko Software’s experience with hack-and-slash action, players can expect a combat system that is fluid and fast.
No release date has been confirmed as of yet, but the project is deep into development.
