VoidGate, a dark, procedurally-generated indie title, has had its release date delayed until later this year.

Announced on VoidGate’s general discussion’s tab on Steam, the developer—under the name Olathuss—posted the saddening news.

“We have decided to delay the release of VoidGate until Fall. Our testing process showed the game wasn’t quite ready, though a lot of the major bugs got fixed.”

Olathuss also adds that the extra time will allow for some extra polish, as well as added story elements and more bosses.

Players who are still enjoying the game in its alpha state can continue to enjoy the game, though the developer has not decided when the keys will be disabled.

The last time OnlySP reported on the game was January when the game first made its way to Steam.

Michael fell into the OnlySP team toward the end of 2017. You’ll mostly catch his work over in the news area, but that doesn’t mean he won’t dip into the features section every now and then. For him, gaming doesn’t get much better than Metal Gear Solid and Super Mario Sunshine. Though he is a die-hard Nintendo fan, he grew up on PlayStation.
