2015 seems to be the year that will revitalize the mainstream Star Wars franchise both in theaters and the gaming world. DICE is currently working on a new Star Wars: Battlefront, while both Visceral and Bioware are developing Star Wars related projects of their own.

While we don’t know much of anything regarding any of the upcoming Star Wars titles, Visceral Games’ Amy Henning and Todd Stashwick both seem to be quite excited about what they’re working on. Both Stashwick and Henning have responded to a few Twitter users regarding their upcoming game at Visceral, which Henning says she hopes to show off soon.

Stashwick responded to another Twitter user noting that the game they’re making is “something very cool” and a game that he personally would like to play himself. After all, if you’re not excited to play the game you’re working on, it would be a concern, so it’s good to hear their excitement for the project and that it’s coming along well.

E3 isn’t too far off now, and while we already know we’ll be seeing Star Wars: Battlefront this year, it’ll be interesting to see if Visceral’s Star Wars game will be revealed as well. We’re still secretly hoping it’s a Star Wars 1313 revival, but who knows. At least with Stashwick and Henning on board with the project, we can expect a well-written storyline to say the least.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on any news regarding Visceral’s upcoming Star Wars project, so don’t forget to follow OnlySP on Facebook and Twitter for all the latest.

  1. It really doesn’t matter what it is. Anything Star Wars is great right now. A lot was has been done wrong and a lot has been done right, so I think a lot of people have a good idea of how to make a good Star Wars game. Anything Star Wars I’m super pumped for. DICE, Visceral, and Bioware are perfect for Star Wars. A good shooter, a good adventure game, and a good story-based game. It all fits perfectly. Can’t wait.

  2. I’m expecting great things from Amy and the rest of Visceral….that is if EA doesn’t step on their toes too much and just lets em do what they do. I’m actually not the biggest Star Wars fan, but I’ll happily take more outer space sci-fi from Visceral. Dead Space 2 is my all-time favorite video game. Feels like it was made just for me.

    1. EA’s been making some big strides in quality as a publisher in 2014. Titanfall and Dragon Age: Inquisition we’re pretty big standouts from the publisher last year. Battlefield: Hardline is looking pretty great as well.

  3. Disney am very mad at you for canceling this game can you please let these guys finish this game of my dreams please disney I really love this game and I really want it to come out in 2015. Disney can you please stop canceling cool starwars games like this and this.
