Bloodlines 2

Hardsuit Labs has announced that the alpha development phase for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 has now concluded.

Alpha is a key milestone, which for Hardsuit Labs, means that all of the gameplay systems are now in place. However, work on the gameplay is not yet complete, as those mechanics still need to be tweaked and in some cases removed to ensure that provide a positive experience.

That process will take place during the beta phase, during which the team will also focus on fleshing out the world, feeling, and missions, including finalising features such as NPC scripts, audio, and lighting.

Originally scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2020, Bloodlines 2 was recently delayed to a later, unspecified point in the year in the hopes of avoiding a bug-laden product, as was the case in the 2004 prequel.

More details about the gameplay and story of the title are available in our previous coverage.

Bloodlines 2 is scheduled to arrive on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
