Valve has finally teased its long-awaited VR headset, Valve Index.
A new teaser page on Steam features an image of the headset, and the phrase “Upgrade your experience” alongside the date May 2019. Whether or not this date will involve the full reveal or release of the headset is unclear.
In the image of the headset, a few notable aspects are apparent, including cameras or sensors on the top, a button on the front left, and a slider with a measurement scale on the right side. The actions of these are unknown, though they are likely for adjusting and calibrating the headset.
Valve has been hiring staff to work on virtual reality for some time, and this tease appears to reveal why.
