Half-Life fans may finally receive a new title in the series in the form of a rumoured VR game, Half-Life: Alyx.

Fans have been anticipating a new Half-Life for fifteen years, as a third instalment drifted into internet legend. According to a leaked transcript from a reportedly reliable source, players may get their hands on the next game in the series as early as 2020.

The transcript is of an interview between documentary creator Geoff Keighley, Valve employee Robin Walker, and an unnamed third person. In the script, Keighley states that Half-Life: Alyx will arrive in March, 2020 as a VR experience.

Valve previously teased the release of a flagship VR title in 2020 following the release of Valve Index headset.

A later leak (which has since been removed) suggests that Valve will reveal the project during The Game Awards on December 13, 2019.
