We’ve just noticed that Far Cry 3 was still latching onto out Big Twelve list like a leech. So, we swatted away that excellent but already released game and decided to replace it with an upcoming title that pretty much all of us are looking forward to:

Sly Cooper: Thieves In Time

That’s right, folks. The upcoming fourth entry in the beloved platformer/stealth series exclusive to Sony consoles. This one takes our favorite sneaky racoons and his pals back in time as they visit strange settings and meet up with Sly’s thieving ancestors.

It’s genuinely refreshing to see a 3D platformer on the market, let alone with the budget and talent behind it that this one has. The humor, art style and creative levels of the original trilogy looks to be back in full force. It’s being developed by Sanzaru Games, the folks who did a bang-up job on 2010’s HD compilation of the original PS2 games, The Sly Collection.

You can look forward to lots more coverage for this one leading up to our eventual review. The game releases on Feb. 5, 2013 (March 27 EU) for PS3 and PS Vita.
