Time passes and we must always do our best to keep up with the events that breeze by us as we march along that inevitable corridor. What this means for OnlySP is that it is time, once again, to update our Big Twelve list now that Dishonored has been released. The latest game from Arkane Studios is a stealth-focussed adventure that gives players free reign to complete their objectives in almost any way they choose. This sort of open-ended gameplay is usually appreciated by our sort, and Dishonored really was no exception. Arguably our most personable editor, Michael, awarded it a very respectable 9/10 in his review, praising the gameplay and general atmosphere while pointing out the shortcomings of the story. Although it is now being stricken from our focus, we will continue to update you on any further developments on the game, including DLC or whatever the developer turns their attention to next, be it a sequel or a new IP, so long as it is relevant to single players.

We editors have created a shortlist of the games that we feel are most deserving of being highlighted by us, some of which are definitely to grace the Big Twelve, while others are cast in a bit more uncertainty. As a whole, we decided this time to open the choice up to our readership to choose the game that the majority want to see a focus on. The poll was comprised primarily of those that fall into the category of uncertainty and one game managed to rise, rather convincingly, above the rest, and surprising most of us in the process. After a week and a half of polling, the majority has spoken, granting the honour to Dead Space 3. Don’t worry too much if it isn’t the one that you voted for, we’ll still be covering the others, just not with quite the same scrutiny. The change will be made as soon as possible and be sure to look out for our next poll, which should be kicking off soon.
