UPDATE: It is now known that Uncharted: Fight for Fortune is simply a card game for the Playstation Vita. Hopefully we didn’t get your hopes up too much.

It seems that Sony has a new entry in its award winning Uncharted series in the works. Apparently titled Uncharted: Fight For Fortune, the game was outed by the Australian Classification Board, with only the most cursory of details being available at this point. Curiously, the game has been outsourced to One Loop Games, a small, unproven studio made up of people that have previously worked on mobile games, like Ratchet & Clank: Going Mobile, God of War: Betrayal and Spider Man 3 and console games like Full Spectrum Warrior and The Saboteur.

One Loop’s website lists them as having two projects in development, one of which is finished, though both are unannounced and there are no platform listings for them either. It’s hard to speculate on the game without any real details, but the series has always been primarily about single-player oriented experiences, so we’re hoping that this one follows that trend.

It is difficult to get an idea of what platform/s this game will be available for as the listing states it as being multiplatform. It could imply that it will be another Cross-Play game available on the PS3 and Vita, or it could imply that it is an iOS/Android or browser-based spin-off. Whatever it is, it already seems to be a huge change from the rest of the series as it is has been granted a ‘G’ rating (equivalent to the States’ E for Everyone), with very mild impact violence and drug use being the only indicators. Each other entry has been given an MA15+ rating.

The last main entry in the series, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception released at the end of 2011, to critical acclaim, while the more recent Vita spin-off, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, wasn’t received quite as warmly but was still a very solid effort. We’ll keep you posted when and if we get anything official, so long as it is relevant to the interests of OnlySP.
