Assassin's Creed Odyssey

Ubisoft showed off gameplay and cinematics of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey at E3, along with giving more information about the setting and protagonist.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will take place in the golden age of Athens in ancient Greece. The player will be able to select which mercenary to play through the story as: Alexios or Kassandra. The main character is the grandchild of Leonidas and draws power from his broken spirit to perform special abilities and moves. The player will also dawn the mysterious weapon that belonged to Leonidas that comes with an unknown burden. The main character will fight their way through a journey to become a Greek Hero.

Creative director Jonathan Dumont described the game as an “epic RPG experience.” The player will explore both land and sea as they go on their journey. To go with the RPG elements the player will be able “interact with history like never before” as they make choices that will impact the story, The philosopher Socrates will be in the game as an NPC to interact with.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on 5 October 2018.
