SplinterCell

Ubisoft is no longer being stealthy about the time next we’ll get to see Sam Fisher.  Although initially thought to be a Spring release, today they announced that Splinter Cell: Blacklist will be hitting the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on August 20th.

Beginning today, players preordering Blacklist from GameStop, Amazon or Best Buy will receive a co-op map entitled “The Dead Coast”, gold sonar goggles and an Upper Echelon sneaking suit.  Those who preorder the title from Ubisoft’s Uplay will receive exclusive bonus content that has yet to be determined.

Along with the release date announcement came a new trailer entitled: “Inauguration”.  Take a look below and let us know what you think.

This is Ubisoft Toronto’s first go around with the Splinter Cell franchise.  After an impressive showing during Microsoft’s E3 press conference, we’re excited to see what a new developer has in store for Fisher and friends.

Jeff Scott

He hopes to blossom from occasional to full time writer at some point. If he doesn't embarrass himself on this site first...
