Two Point Hospital

Two Point Studios, recently acquired by SEGA, is using this week to slowly roll out announcement details for Two Point Hospital‘s upcoming console release.

In a post to the game’s official dev blog, Craig Laycock, Brand Director at Two Point Studios, has announced that Two Point Hospital will be coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One later this year.

The console launch of Two Point Hospital will offer the ‘Bigfoot’ and ‘Pebberley Island’ expansions for free. It will also include “an intuitive, quick and precise control scheme from the ground up that’ll make building your hospitals more satisfying than ever.”

Laycock writes the following in his blog post:

“When we released Two Point Hospital on PC, we were blown away by the reaction from press and our incredible community. We were over the moon to see that so many people were enjoying our game, and only too happy to make tweaks in response to fantastic feedback.”

“As a result of that feedback, we’ve added loads of quality of life updates, new features and new content (that’s propelled our user reviews to a recent 97% on Steam), including features like copy-paste rooms and customisation, and you’ll find those updates bundled into this version.”

Two Point Studios’ big announcement also comes with a Two Point Hospital console release trailer.

However, Two Point Studios intends to slowly drip out more information about its console launch via the dev blog in the coming days. Here is the schedule:

  • Wednesday, July 24:Why Two Point Hospital on console is our best version yet” (just now published) — Lauren Woodroffe, Senior UI/UX Designer
  • Thursday, July 25: “What’s included in the console version, and why?” — Harry Puttock, Writer and Designer
  • Friday, July 26: “Why we can’t wait for more people to play Two Point Hospital” — Craig Laycock, Brand Director

Two Point Studios is giving several members of the team a chance to have their thoughts read in these upcoming pieces.

Two Point Hospital has not yet been given an exact release date on console, but expect it out on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One before the end of the year.
