Twitch has announced an upcoming charity stream to raise money for COVID-19 relief.
On March 28, 2020, the 12-hour charity stream Twitch Stream Aid will aim to raise funds for the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for WHO. The stream will feature some big names from the worlds of gaming, music, and sports.
During the stream, celebrities such as Joe Jonas and Drew Taggard from The Chainsmokers will join competitions in Fortnite and UNO, while stars such as Ellie Goulding, Charlie Puth, and Jordin Sparks will perform musical acts during breaks.
Streamers who are live on Saturday will have the chance to be featured in the broadcast by using the tag ‘TwitchStreamAid’. The charity stream will also be available to co-stream on other channels.
Twitch says that the charity stream will begin a week of fundraising opportunities on the platform.
