Re-releases of Turok: Dinosaur Hunter and Turok 2: Seeds of Evil have been announced by the PC game restoration company Night Dive Studios, and they have also released screenshots for them.

Turok 1 was initially released for the PC in 1997, with its sequel in 1999. The remastered version of these games will feature new visuals, enhanced graphics and other additions.

According to the CEO of Night Dive Studios Stephen Kick:

When Turok: Dinosaur Hunter was first released it was nothing short of revolutionary. To that point, no game had ever offered the combination of graphics and an open world environment that Turok featured. We are very excited to have the opportunity to bring this great franchise back to life and to be able to share these great titles with today’s gaming audience

The remastered Turok games will be released for PC on Steam, the Humble Bundle store, GOG, GamersGate, Green Man Gaming, and straight from the Night Dive Studios official website.

  1. I remember playing these on the Nintendo 64. I loved those games, so do wish they would also be released on consoles, namely the PS4. I would buy them at the ‘blink of an eye’. lol. Let me share a memory: I was playing one of the Turok games (#2, I think), where one was by bubbling lava pools. I had been playing for hours and the save points were few & far between. I was tired so I just left the N64 idle away while I went to bed. 6 hours later, when I returned to the game, I was dead!. Evidently, random spits of lava were hitting Turok and whittled down his health while I was sleeping. Had to start from the last save point from hours previously. Such is gaming, but I love it :)
