The Order: 1886_20150217045900

Sony turned down Troy Baker for a voice acting role in the PlayStation 4’s The Order: 1886.

At an E3 2019 Coliseum panel, Ready at Dawn CEO Ru Weerasuriya brought up the subject. The panel was discussing the studio’s new VR game, Lone Echo 2, when Weerasuriya mentioned that Baker was “originally the very first voice for Galahad… when we did the test, actually,” for the game The Order: 1886. According to Baker, Sony’s reasoning was that he was already in “too many games,” including being Joel in the Last of Us and Delsin Rowe in InFamous: Second Son, which are also Sony first-party exclusives.

Steve West eventually was chosen to voice Sir Galahad in The Order: 1886, which Baker commented as “a much better call.” While The Order: 1886 did not receive stellar reviews, some people believed that the game was judged too harshly.
