Tropico 6 has received its first paid DLC and a free update for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
‘The Llama of Wall Street’ DLC expands upon a variety of economy mechanics, granting players the ability to manipulate markets through trade and careful planning to further their free-market endeavours.
The DLC also includes a new sandbox map, new edicts, and customisation options for El Prez, as well as new buildings including the Trade Institute, Toy Workshop, and Smart Furniture Studio.
Meanwhile, the free ‘Seguridad Social’ update also adds a plethora of bug fixes and new content, including the Warehouse for storing goods. In addition, the update introduces a new sandbox map Rio and the community-requested Social Security edict that prevents student and retiree NPCs from going broke.
As usual, the update also includes a host of balancing tweaks and bugfixes, the full list of which is available here.
OnlySP’s Damien Lawardorn reviewed Tropico 6 earlier this year, giving it a credit rating, and said, “Tropico 6 matches and even exceeds the breadth of content found in fellow city-builders, but it does not delve deeply enough into its simulation to take the genre forward a step.”
