Tropico 6

Tropico 6 has suffered a sudden, last minute delay and will now release on March 29, 2019.

Publisher Kalypso Media’s owner and managing director, Simon Hellwig, issued a statement explaining the delay. Hellwig cites dissatisfaction with the quality of the project as the primary factor in the delay.

“Over the holidays, I have played Tropico 6 for many hours and really liked what I saw. But, in my humble opinion, it is not enough to like a game – I want to love it! And Tropico 6 is good, but not very good, or outstanding. Yet.”

As a bit of an apology for the delay, any users who pre-order the game on the Kalypso Shop will receive the game’s first DLC for free.

The sixth entry in the simulation series launches March 29, 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Time will tell if the reschedule will be worth the wait, so keep up with OnlySP on FacebookTwitter, and YouTube for more Tropico updates.
