July has begun (granted, a bit late, but better late than never), and summer vacations along with it. You know what that means, single players: more time than ever for gaming. With that short intro out of the way, here are three single-player games releasing this month:

Divinity: Original Sin

Developer: Larian Studios

Publisher: Larian Studios

Platform(s): PC, Mac

Release Date: June 30th worldwide

The long-running Divinity franchise returns to its classic RPG roots with Divinity: Original Sin. Primarily designed as a co-op multiplayer game, Divinity: Original Sin is fully-playable as a single-player title. Combat is turn-based, hearkening back to popular RPGs of the past. If you’re looking for good RPG to sink hundreds of hours into, look no further than Divinity: Original Sin.

Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty

Developer: Just Add Water

Publisher: Oddworld Inhabitants, Inc.

Platform(s): Playstation 4 (Release Date(s) for Playstation 3, Playstation Vita, Xbox One, PC, Mac,  and Linux TBA)

Release Date: July 22nd (For Playstation 4; Release Date(s) for other platforms TBA)

“Mudoken” sounds like an alien race straight out of a bad Star Trek or Star Wars wannabe imitation. In actuality, nothing could be further from the truth (the wannabe imitation part, but a Mudoken is an alien race). Developed by Just Add Water and published by Oddworld Inhabitants (hence the Oddworld in the title, since they were the developers of the original game, Abe’s Oddysee), Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty is basically a next-gen rebuild of the 1997 Oddworld-developed hit, Abe’s Oddysee.

Coming out on July 22nd for the Playstation 4 (as listed above, the release date(s) for the other platforms it will be available on is/are TBA), Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty will hopefully prove than an old dog can still be taught new tricks. Be on the lookout for our review for it sometime shortly before or after release.

The Last of Us Remastered

Developer: Naughty Dog

Publisher: Playstation (as part of Sony Computer Entertainment America)

Platform: Playstation 4

The Last of Us is finally making its way to the PS4 in the form of The Last Of Us Remastered. The new edition comes with all the DLC for multiplayer and the graphic has been bumped up to 1080p and 60FPS, making it an even better looking experience. PS4 owners who haven’t experienced The Last of Us will now have the opportunity to do so in the best quality available.

That’s our pick for games for the single player games for July.   Be sure to like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter for more news and information on the latest games.
