Microsoft next generation platform will once again see a multiplatform title running at a lower resolution than Sony’s Playstation 4.

Eurogamer has confirmed with Square Enix that the highly anticipated Thief reboot will run at crystal clear 1080p on the Playstation 4 while the Xbox One will only be running at 900p, both systems also run the game at 30 frames per second.

Thief director Nicolas Cantin said “You really need good eyes to see the difference” and insists it’s “as good as the PS4 version”.

This is one of numerous multiplatform titles that have been released at a lower resolutions on the Xbox One, albeit not as major as we’ve seen in the past such as Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and Tomb Raider, both of which were 1080p on Sony’s platform and only 720p on Microsoft’s.
