Microsoft opened E3 2019 with The Outer Worlds, the visually stunning new sci-fi RPG game from Obsidian Entertainment.
The video showed more footage of the highly anticipated RPG game set in Halcyon. The scenery of the planet looks stunning and the colours were magnificently vibrant. Even the colour in the run-down looking parts of the cities looked spectacular, but the open world wilderness has some stunning visuals with amazingly rich colour contrast.
The trailer revealed more information about the plot relating to the corporations which run the space colony. During the video, a voice over highlights the importance of corporations and that they are responsible for Halcyon’s success, but now a newcomer wants to expose their secrets.
Whilst the video showcased the basic story, it also showed the options that the player has to either help people or become a “psychopath”. Fans of Obsidian Entertainment will be more than used to how dialogue options affect the character’s ‘karma’ especially from Fallout: New Vegas.
The Outer Worlds will be released on October 25 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
