It looks like one of PS4’s biggest games this year will not be making the 2014 roster.

According to Shinobi602, one of the few insiders we trust, The Order: 1886 has indeed been delayed to February of 2015.

More than likely the delay, or whatever you want to call it, was created to push the game out of the already super saturated Fall lineup. There’s literally a big name game coming out almost every week starting in October. Heck, October 7th alone sees the release of Alien: Isolation, Shadow of Mordor, DriveClub and Dragon Age: Inquisition. Hopefully this gives the developers more time to polish the game up and have it meet everyone’s expectations which are out the window at the moment.

You can be sure we’ll see more of The Order: 1886 at E3 this year as there is a stage demo planned according to recent rumors.

  1. Oh great, if this is true I’m very disappointed. After the Witcher 3, I was anticipating this the most.

    1. Aw man, well hopefully you have a back up plan! Might I suggest Dragon Age for your RPG fix? :p Dunno about gritty third person action games though for this year..

      1. Good suggestion. I have never checked on that game. Let’s see what EA is up to.

  2. I don’t think of this as a bad thing. Sure, people will have to wait a little bit longer but February is a time when not as many games are released. October/November is full of new releases though and it can be harder for some games to stand out and not be lost in the crowd.

    1. The good thing about all these delays is that next year will have game releases through out the entire year rather than just a shit ton of them all releasing at the same time in the Fall.

  3. Many next gen games have been delayed already. Watch Dogs, The Crew, Witcher 3, The Division, Elder Scrolls Online (console version), Driveclub. Batman Arkham Knight is also rumored for a 2015 delay. It’s not a surprise more are being delayed into 2015, with more to come.

Don’t worry, PS4 will keep selling like hotcakes on superior multiplats alone. Marketing deals and bundles with Watch Dogs and Destiny (the two biggest AAA multiplats of the year) will help.

    1. In all honesty, nobody should be surprised these games are getting delayed. Most were announce early just to drum up interest in buying the consoles early on, I’m pretty sure the publishers and Sony/Microsoft knew most of these games wouldn’t be ready save for a few.

      1. The Evil Within just got delayed, chalk up another one.

    2. Sorry man the multiplats are all just ports from last gen…no new technology or gameplay mechanics. Xbox ones current exclusives snd exclusives coming soon are looking very enticing. Sunset overdrive looks fantastic. Tired of waiting for boring games and delays.

      1. They’re not all just ports.

  4. Hopefully they’ll do away with the awful letter-boxing and do a true 1080p full screen image.

  5. Extremely unhappy about the complete lack of good new games for ps4. What is the problem ??? Frickin thing is collecting dust. Been playing xbox one at a buddies…and i have to be honest…the xbox one has awesome games. Titanfall is the best on line shooter i have ever played and all the other exclusives that they have out are awesone as well. Trading in ps4 next month for $399 version. I want a system to play good games…ps4 sucks.
