It’s been a pretty slow week when it comes to single player gaming news, but we may have a big scoop to share with you today.

According to DSOGaming, a map for the next entry in the Red Dead series may have potentially leaked on NeoGAF a few days ago. I completely missed that news due to being so busy with college, but the map that you can see just below looks pretty darn legit. Better yet, other sources are confirming it’s legitimate.

TechRadar got confirmation from a source close to Rockstar that the map is legit and “very recent” in fact. The source also noted that the game may be set before the events of Red Dead: Redemption, rather than a direct sequel.

You can check out a comparison image of the map from Red Dead: Redemption and the upcoming game’s map at the link. Be sure to let us know what you think about a prequel to Red Dead: Redemption rather than a sequel.

Stay tuned for further updates on this story as E3 approaches, we may be hearing more about the next Red Dead adventure relatively soon.
