Falcom has announced that The Legend of Heroes: Zero no Kiseki and Ao no Kiseki duology will be coming to PlayStation 4 in Japan under the “Kai” label.

According to Falcom’s official website, Zero no Kiseki and Ao no Kiseki are being ported from their PlayStation Portable versions rather than the “Evo” Vita versions published by Kadokawa Games.

The games will also feature full voice acting for the main story, high definition graphics, and 60 FPS support. A feature that was in the Kai versions of Trails of Cold Steel I and II, “High Skip Mode”, will be in Zero/Ao No Kiseki Kai and allows players to enjoy the game at 2x and 4x speeds. The ability to skip battle animations was absent from the PlayStation Portable versions, but will be present in these rereleases.

The games will arrive on PlayStation 4 in Japan in 2020. No official announcement has been made about a western localization.

Earlier this year, Falcom President Toshiro Kondo expressed that he wanted to bring over the older Trails games to PlayStation 4.
