Trails of Cold Steel IV

The fourth entry in the Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel series will be heading westward.

NIS America announced today that The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV will release in Q4 2020 for PlayStation 4. PC and Switch releases will follow in 2021. Two editions for the game were also announced, the Frontline Edition and the Limited Edition.

The Frontline Edition looks to be the standard “day one” edition, and will include a copy of the game, an artbook, a CD soundtrack, and reversible box art. However, the Switch version of this edition will only have a digital soundtrack. The Frontline Edition will cost USD $59.99

The Limited Edition will have a copy of the game, a soundtrack, a hardcover artbook, a steelbook case, a cloth poster, and seven art cards. In this case, the Switch version of this edition will be receiving the same CD soundtrack as well. The Limited Edition will cost USD $99.99.

At PAX West 2019, OnlySP interviewed NIS America about the prospects of bringing Cold Steel IV to the west; Erin Kim said, “we’d love to.”
