If any of you were hoping to play The Last of Us with a friend, you’re out of luck. Despite having two protagonists, the game will not have cooperative modes of any kind.
Neil Druckmann, the game’s producer, stated in an interview that although multi-player modes are being worked on, the game’s campaign will not incorporate co-op.
We are supporting multiplayer with The Last of Us. We’re not ready to talk about the details of how multiplayer will be implemented, however we can say that it is not co-op within the main campaign.
To be fair, Naught Dog probably felt that trying to shoehorn in co-op wasn’t a smart move, which is understandable. The mention of other multi-player modes, however, is surprising. Do any of you feel that the single-player could still be compromised as a result of including multi-player as well? Leave us your thoughts below!
