The final piece of DLC for The Last of Us, while mostly multiplayer focused, will give a nod to single players not yet ready to put down The Last of Us.
The third and final piece of DLC for The Last of Us will introduce a host of multiplayer content, but luckily for us single players, there will be a little extra.
A new difficulty mode for the single player campaign will be introduced. No details have been released on it as of yet, with Naughty Dog saying, “We’ll have more information on [the new DLC] as in-game elements near completion.” Considering there’s already a hardcore mode in the game, it’ll be interesting to see what Naughty Dog implements.
I played through the game twice without any assists turned on and it was one of the most immersive experiences I’ve had in gaming. If you haven’t played The Last of Us without turning of listen mode and button prompts yet, I highly suggest you give it a try.
We’ll be sure to let you know as soon as Naughty Dog releases an update on this new difficulty mode for the single player campaign.
