Ellie The Last of Us Part II

Prolific voice actress Laura Bailey has finished her motion capture performance for The Last of Us Part II.

The revelation comes a fresh post on game director Neil Druckmann’s Instagram page, in which he thanks Bailey for “helping to bring one of my favourite characters to life. You crushed it.”

Bailey’s character is unknown at this time, but Druckmann’s statement suggests she is playing a major role in The Last of Us Part II.

Now that the motion and performance capture has been finished, the studio will need to smooth out animation and then implement it into the game.

Bailey previously lent her prowess to the first The Last of Us, but only in as “additional voices.” Otherwise, Bailey is perhaps best known for her recent role as Mary Jane Watson in Marvel’s Spider-Man and Nadine in Uncharted 4. She will also play Kait Diaz in the upcoming Gears 5 and Catherine in the updated Catherine: Full Body later this year.
