The Game Awards

The 2019 Game Awards will air in December.

On Twitter, Geoff Keighley announced that The Game Awards will air on December 12, 2019. The show will stream live from downtown Los Angeles in the Microsoft Theater.

Keighley says that he will turn the stage over to a select group of teams that will share new projects with the viewers. Additionally, he described why he continues to host The Game Awards, noting, “No matter what happens in our life or in the world, the act of creation is a deeply personal, spiritual, and fulfilling pursuit, filled with sacrifice and challenge but fueled by the opportunity for impact. At their best, games make us feel alive.”

Keighley also mentioned that with this year being the fifth anniversary, something special is being planned.

OnlySP provided a recap of the good and the bad of the Game Awards 2018, such as the big three console manufacturers being all on stage at once and the various companies advertising during the show, respectively.
