Movie Games S.A. has announced that the jaw-droppingly beautiful horror game The Beast Inside will launch on October 17.
At the time of its successful Kickstarter campaign last year, the game was intended to release in March 2019, but expansion of its core ideas and mechanics meant that target was not reached.
In The Beast Inside, players will take control of a CIA cryptanalyst who moves to a large house in the country. There, the horrors of the past come to life, and players explore the manor during both the Cold War and American Civil War eras.
The game offers a semi-open-world environment to explore, as well as promising “long-buried secrets, personal tragedies, and madness spanning more than a century.”
OnlySP’s Chris Hepburn trialled the title last year, finding that its “well-designed frights” make it “a solid and scary experience that fans of horror will need to play.” His full preview is available here.
A demo is currently available on Steam for anyone who wants to try the game for themselves.
