Moral Anxiety Studio aims to bring back text-based adventures with its new game, Roadwarden.

Set in the same world of the team’s previous title Tales from Windy Meadow, Roadwarden joins Moral Anxiety Studio’s series of illustrated adventures.

The game combines isometric pixel art and mechanics inspired by RPGs, visual novels, adventure games, and interactive fiction. In total, the experience will comprise of around 10 hours of RPG-driven gameplay, though violence will be minimal, with the developer emphasizing that it is “not the most prevalent [activity], nor the most important one.

A demo is available for download here. The full game is scheduled to launch on Steam in 2020.
