The Wolf Among Us 2, the sequel to Telltale’s successful interpretation of the Fables series The Wolf Among Us, has been delayed until 2019.

In a statement on Telltale’s website, the developer announced that the delay was primarily due to ” a few fundamental changes at Telltale since [it] first announced the game last summer.” In addition to that, the statement also implied that the developer is taking time to “[explore] new ways to tell [its] stories”, which implies that The Wolf Among Us 2 may be an attempt to break out of the company’s design habits.

The project was originally announced in the summer of 2017, along with new Batman and The Walking Dead seasons. The Wolf Among Us impressed OnlySP’s Stephanie Muscari on release, with the title remaining as one of Telltale’s most creatively demanding efforts.
