It’s already pretty well-known that Telltale is hard at work on another season of their critically acclaimed cel-shaded adventure rendition of The Walking Dead. However, what’s not been known until now is that Telltalle may be working on new Walking Dead content that players will be able to experience before the second season hits.
During the most recent episode of IGN’s “Up At Noon” talk-show, Telltale writer Gary Whitta stated the following:
“I can tell you what you already know, which is season two is coming. There’s not much to say because it really is very early…it’s a way off… but, knowing that it’s a way off, and knowing that people are hungry for more walking Dead… there may very well be more Walking Dead from Telltale before season two. We may have a little something extra for you between season one and two… that will make the wait for season two slightly less agonizing.”
We have to admit, we’re stumped. What could Whitta be teasing? A short prologue to season two? A sidestory to the Lee/Clementine arc? A prequel of sorts? We assume he meas actual playable content, though that may not necessarily be the case. Perhaps it’ll be some sort of video or video miniseries. Also, will this new content be free or for purchase? Time to bring out the rumor booze, folks. Speculate away! What do you think Telltale has in the pipeline that could drop before the second season?
Stay tuned for much more news on Telltale’s Walking Dead shenanigans in the near future.
