Telltale Games, a game developer that has become synonymous with episodic gaming, today released the launch trailer for Episode One of its adaptation of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy.

The trailer, which can be viewed above,  provides a glimpse into the story of Episode One, titled “Tangled up in Blue.” Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot will face-off with Thanos and who knows what else in a battle that somehow leads to the recovery of a “relic” of great power. Episode One drops tomorrow, April 18th, for Playstation 4, Xbox One, PC, Mac, App Store, and Google Play, as well as via a physical retail edition featuring a Season Pass version on May 2.

The series is slated for a five-episode first Season. Translation: players can (and should) safely assume that there will probably be a Season 2.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series is a brand new story of the universe’s unlikeliest superheroes: Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot. In the wake of an epic battle, the Guardians discover an artifact of unspeakable power. Each of them has a reason to desire this relic, as does a ruthless enemy who is the last of her kind, and who will stop at nothing to tear it from their hands.

In addition to tomorrow’s digital release, a physical retail version of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series with a Season Pass is slated for release on May 2.
