One of the ten promised World Premieres at The Game Awards last Thursday came in the form of a brand new adventure from Telltale Games starring the “World’s Greatest Detective,” Batman.

After the success of previous outings from beloved franchises such as The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, and Borderlands, among others, Telltale are turning their hand to one of the most-loved and well-known comic book heroes of all time.

Little is known so far about story or characters but the first episode, assuming this game will follow the episodic layout of the previous Telltale entries, will release in 2016.

Telltale Games are certainly putting their fingers in plenty of pies, as well as expanding on their previous games like we have seen with Season Two of The Walking Dead. They are also not afraid to take on huge franchises with Minecraft currently halfway through its season following the massive fanbase the game has received over the past couple of years. Now they are committing to Batman as well, who already has plenty of games, films and television shows behind his enigmatic stature.

Check out the announcement trailer below, first shown at The Game Awards in Los Angeles, and keep on top of any news to come from this and any other Single Player title by following us at OnlySP on Facebook and Twitter.
