Many fans were not very happy after Irrational Games revealed the initial box art of the upcoming BioShock: Infinite, and the back cover reveal didn’t do much to quell the disappointment either. During Ken Levine’s well-articulated defense of the box art, it was suggested that alternate cover art would be available for the game. Today, BioShock fans looking for different cover art can loose a big ol’ sigh of relief, as Ken Levine has revealed that he is “happy to announce that the game will come with a reversible cover” on a new blog post.

The Irrational Games crew isn’t stopping there – they’re letting you vote for what you would like the alternative to be. Through the poll on their site, you are able to vote on which of the six potential covers below you would like to see as the alternate cover art.

Levine also revealed that there would be further alternate covers available for download:

“We’re also going to be arranging a whole mess of MORE alternate covers which will be available to download and print yourself. Of course, these are free and we’d love to hear your thoughts in the forums as to what you’d like to see.”

The poll closes on Wednesday the 19th of December, so get your votes in now, if you feel so inclined.

  1. Now those are some awesome covers! Personally I&#039d go for number 3, in continuing with the two person cover art succession. First was a bouncer and little sister, then a little sister and delta.

  3. Wow! Not only are these covers amazing, but it blows my mind to think that any of them were passed over for the one unveiled last week. I want to vote for #6, but there is something striking about #4. The sketchy art-style and the bold red background keep drawing my eye. Imagine how that box art would "pop" when sitting on the retail shelves!

  4. The third or fifth one is what the final cover should have been. Still focuses on Booker, but also displays other important thematic elements like, I dunno… Elizabeth!

#4 also looks really cool, in a graphic novel kind of way. I think I&#039ll end up voting for that.
