If Found...

With the backing of Annapurna Interactive, If Found… promises to be a surreal, dreamy coming-of-age adventure about identity and isolation.

Set in 1993, players join the rebellious Kasio as she destroys her diary.

The description of the game leaves little to draw from, though the publisher promises “unique gameplay mechanics” that have players erasing the diary’s content to learn Kasio’s story.

The game’s official website provides a few more pertinent details—namely that the diary is a record of the previous four weeks, recounts Kasio’s return to Ireland’s Achill Island and the challenges she faces, and “an explanation for the looming black hole that’s about to destroy the Earth.”

To celebrate the announcement, Annapurna shared a brief trailer, though it provides even less information:

If Found… is targeting an early 2020 launch on PC and Apple platforms.

Indie studio Dreamfeel is heading development duties on the title, which has already been shown at several European conventions and won several awards, including the Grand Prix award, at 2016’s IDI Irish Design Awards.
