Tactical Turn-based RPG Othercide Developer Recap 2019 Progress

Independent developer Lightbulb Crew has released an update recapping the progress of its game Othercide as the 2020 deadline approaches.

Othercide is described as a tactical, dynamic, turn-based game where players utilise their “Daughters” to face overwhelming odds. The project also features a permadeath feature where sacrificing a Daughter may be necessary to succeed.

The developer announced last year that it would be working with Focus Home Interactive to publish the game. While the partnership proved beneficial in terms of production value, it forced Othercide to be pushed back until 2020. The Child Song composer Pierre Le Pape was also brought on board for the project.

With a sufficient ensemble of experts, Lightbulb Crew released the first gameplay demo of Othercide at Paris Game Week.

Heading into 2020, Lightbulb Crew plans on releasing monthly updates for the community regarding the game’s progress. Updates could include any number of fresh content with the team wanting to familiarise audiences with the game’s unique universe.
