The long awaited third entry in the Syberia series, slated originally for a December 1 release date, has just recently been delayed to early 2017 according to developer Microids.

The announcement came by way of Microids Vice president Elliot Grassiano who stated the primary reason for the postponement was to add “even more depth to Kate Walker’s new adventure”.

Benoit Sokal, Creative Director and Founder of the Syberia Trilogy, stated that he was “…disappointed that Syberia 3 was delayed…” but went on to say that the delay will allow the team to “…offer players the best gaming experience possible”.

Sokal revealed that the game would feature narrative sequences, extra cinematics, and additional voice-over languages which would require additional development time.

Syberia 3 will be releasing early 2017 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC
