Nintendo finally revealed the release date of Super Smash Bros. Wii U, available on November 21st, 2014.

The announcement was made when Nintendo announced that Super Smash Bros. 3DS sold over 2.8 million copies worldwide, following its launch in Europe and Australia. The first handheld entry in the series followed a very successful launch in Japan when it sold over 1 million copies in the weekend.

A brand new Gamecube controller mod will also be released by Nintendo, and will also support the WaveBird controllers at retail for $19.99.
