Developer Convict Games has announced that its stoner noir game STONE will be coming to iOS.
Alongside this announcement, Convict Games also revealed that the second free update for STONE, now available for PC and Mac, includes professional translation for French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Japanese.
According to the official press release, Convict Games “reviewed the best translators available, and tested them to ensure the Aussie style, vibe, and story would be captured.”
Writer and director Gregory Louden said that, due to STONE‘s episodic storytelling technique, “iPhones and iPads are a perfect match. We think iOS players will love our stoner noir and playing our self-titled hungover koala detective.”
OnlySP’s Dominic Galeano spoke to Louden last year about the literary influences behind the game, including The Big Lebowski and Post Office. OnlySP’s Ben Newman enjoyed his time with the game, stating that “STONE, and its protagonist, have a lot of heart, and that shines the most.” The game received a free demo in November, allowing players to experience the opening three chapters of the game.
