Focus Home Interactive and Streum On Studio have released seventeen minutes of gameplay footage for Space Hulk: Deathwing, ahead of its PC release on December 9.
Though largely presented without narrative context, the video, embedded below, displays what seems like a considerable portion of a single mission as the player character explores a ship infested with enemies. Several gameplay features are highlighted within the footage, including an array of both ranged and melee weaponry, the strategic necessity of issuing orders to NPC companions, and the vulnerability of those companions.
Set in the universe of Warhammer 40K, Space Hulk: Deathwing is a first person shooter married to adventure game sentiments with a sprinkling of horror, making it one of the more difficult titles to categorise. The game’s campaign is said to last between 10 and 15 hours. For more details, you can read OnlySP’s hands-off preview from E3 2015.
Although releasing first on PC, Space Hulk: Deathwing will also be available on PS4 and Xbox One sometime in 2017.
