Andrew House, President and Global Chief Executive of Sony Interactive, has finally confirmed the existence of the long-rumored PS4 Neo. However, it won’t be at E3 this year.

The news was officially reported on the Financial Times which requires a subscription if you want to read the full article. Thankfully PlayStation Lifestyle was nice enough to grab a few of the details from the post regarding the announcement.

It is intended to sit alongside and complement the standard PS4…We will be selling both [versions] through the life cycle. We want to ensure we have a full range of the best experiences on the new system that we can showcase in their entirety. All games will support the standard PS4 and we anticipate all or a very large majority of games will also support the high-end PS4.

The PS4 Neo will cost quite a bit more than the standard model, but no price point was revealed in the article. If Sony isn’t showing off the PS4 Neo at their E3 2016 press conference it might be a little while yet until we see the new console in action.

Stay tuned for further updates on the PS4 Neo as we have them by following OnlySP on Facebook and Twitter.
