Sonic Team Racing has suffered a massive delay of about six months.
Today’s blue-blur news comes via the Sonic Twitter account. The tweet made things clear that the game would not make its initially planned December release window. Sonic Team Racing is now set for a May 21, 2019 launch.
Hey guys! To make Team Sonic Racing the best game it can be, we’re giving the team extra time to work on it. Our new release date is May 21, 2019.
We know delays are no fun, but quality matters most. Thanks for your patience – we’ve got more to show you for TSR very soon!

There are not too many details as to why the game was delayed, just an update attributing the late launch to quality.
The most recent news from the Sega camp saw the announcement of some new characters set to join the racing cast.
On the bright side, Sega does sound to have more to show on the game in the coming months.
