Tactical Adventures has announced that it has obtained the license to use the Dungeons and Dragons ruleset for its crowdfunded RPG Solasta: Crown of the Magister.
The announcement about the tabletop-inspired PC game came via Kickstarter. This means that the developer can align the game’s RPG rules with the System Reference Document 5.1.
SRD 5.1 is the document outlining the rules to play Dungeons and Dragons. Tactical Adventures confirmed it will design sub-classes, backgrounds, and feats based upon these rules.
According to the game’s Steam page, “Solasta: Crown of the Magister brings back the thrill, tactics, and deep storytelling of tabletop games. As you play, you’ll feel yourself reaching for your dice and miniatures. It’s time to dive into the world of Solasta. Roll for initiative!”
At the time of writing, Solasta: Crown of the Magister is just over EUR€2,000 away from its €180,000 funding goal, with more than a week of the campaign remaining.
