Do you own a copy of Rage? Maybe not, but you probably own a copy of Skyrim considering how well it’s sold. In any case, Bethesda’s VP of marketing and PR Pete Hines has stated on twitter that “Some things coming down the road in April for all you Rage and Skyrim fans. April is gonna have some cool news and surprises.”
What form those surprises will take is a mystery, though its likely that it will turn out to be DLC. Bethesda has already trademarked the name “Dawnguard” and has stated that they’re working on substantial DLC for Skyrim. Rumors of DLC for Rage were also flying around the web shortly after its release. Some have predicted that the “surprise” will be an announcement for Wii U ports of both titles, which could be a possibility.
Only time will tell what Bethesda has planned for us. Perhaps it will all just turn out to be an April Fools trick. In the mean time, why not pick up a heavily discounted copy of Rage? The summer game drought will be here soon enough, and in this editor’s opinion it was a pretty overlooked title. Check back later for more info regarding Bethesda’s master plan, assuming it doesn’t take an arrow to the knee.
