Three new single player games are out today, including Mortal Kombat X, GTA V on PC and Titan Souls

Single Player is alive and strong in the games industry, as Nick talked about in a recent article for OnlySP, and this is more evident than ever in these three big games releasing today. One an open world, third person (and now first person) shooter. The second, a new edition to the infamous fighting series, Mortal Kombat, and an indie pixel art, 2D top down adventure which takes inspiration from Shadow of the Colossus, Titan Souls.

GTA V finally comes out for PC gamers today, after the original game was released over eighteen months ago on PS3 and Xbox 360. The PC version has suffered numerous delays in the eventual lead up to the PC release, but its all worth the wait with a number of improvements to the game which I’m sure will make any PC gamer happy.

The game will have improved graphics and some new features, including the ability to run the game at 4k and 60 frames per second gameplay. The PC version will allow for players to control the population density and variation, along with many other small tweaks in the game.

GTA V was one of the best-selling games of last generation, namely for its freedom expansive world, but it is also heralded for its fantastic story, which looks at three criminals trying to survive through performing bank heists and other interesting missions.

Was it worth the wait PC gamers? Let us know in the comments.

Mortal Kombat X

Mortal Kombat X (Ten) is the first game in the series to be released on current generation consoles, and is developed by NetherRealm Studios. It is infamous for its punishing and gruesome fatalities, which has become a stable of the series, and are just as prominent in this new release.

While the game has a strong multiplayer focus, fans of the series have always enjoyed the game’s crazy campaigns which is why we’ve included it in this list.

Although there has been a great deal of hype leading the release of Mortal Kombat X, it has just been revealed players can buy add-on packs through micro transactions, which allow players to perform fatalities much easier than in previous titles.

It comes out today on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and even has a mobile version for Android and IOS devices.

And finally, Titan Souls, a title from a small UK developer, releases today as well, on PC, Mac, PS4 and PS Vita.

Titan Souls is a strategic, open world, 2D, top down adventure where strategy is imperative and one hit can lead to your death. The objective in the game, is to defeat the twenty giant monsters, known as the Titans, but with only a bow, and one arrow.

Originally created for a Game Jam, in which developers create games within a short period of time, it was so successful the developers decided to make it into a full-fledged game for commercial release.
