Before E3, we reported that The Last Guardian had been cancelled and then not cancelled. However, when E3 came and went, The Last Guardian was again absent. Shuhei Yoshida, President of Sony Worldwide Studios, is here to calm fans down.

In an interview with Polygon, Yoshida confirmed again that The Last Guardian is still in development.

“It exists. The team is working hard on it.”

Yoshida also said he was “heartbroken” about the rumors that spread before E3 about the game being cancelled.

On top of this, Yoshida promised that IF The Last Guardian is cancelled they will confirm the news themselves.

“When we cancel a title and it is something we have announced already, we’ll say so.”
