Among the big announcements at this year’s E3 was the development of Shenmue 3, funded through Kickstarter. The game has already surpassed its funding goal of $2 million and at the time of writing has almost raised $4 million in pledges. In the most recent update to the campaign, a new, much clamored for, reward was added.
Now, backers who pledge at the $60 tier level will be able to get a physical PS4 copy of the game, should they so choose. After the Kickstarter campaign ends, which will be in about 2 weeks, backers in the $60+ tiers will receive a survey where they can choose between receiving one of the following: PS4 physical copy, PS4 digital copy, Windows PC physical copy, or Windows PC digital copy.
If you have already pledged for a PC physical copy, you will not need to adjust your pledge if you want a PS4 physical copy instead. You can check out more details about Shenmue 3 on the game’s Kickstarter page.
