Recently a letter was sent to GameStop locations from publisher Ubisoft, which essentially read that they were planning on creating a Season Pass for its Assassins Creed 3 title. Similar to that of Gears of War 3 season pass, Ubisoft feels with enough DLC to come after the games release, a season pass could benefit many players. A photo of the note, snapped by a store employee, is posted at Kotaku and it appears to be legit given its resemblance to other materials that Ubisoft has sent out in support of the game.
In the letter it confirms that Ubisoft created a “complementary development team” which has been assigned building DLC content post launch of the game. Players will be able to either buy the DLC as it comes and thus allowing them to choose and decide if they want it, or simply purchase a season pass and obtain all DLC in one go. The season pass will apparently be available for pre-order soon although no real details have surfaced at this time. One would think the extra DLC would be more multiplayer maps and possibly more story content.
Stay tuned to Only Single Player for more as it develops.
Assassin’s Creed 3 comes to PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC platforms on October 30, 2012.
